Such a wonderful wine, Rob Hall’s Yarra Valley pinot noir, one of the most consistent and best value wines in the region. Lifted aromatics with lavender, sweet and tangy red fruits and savoury spice. Light to medium bodied, with fantastic concentration of flavours, perky acidity and soft, fine tannins. Bargain territory. Norris at Waters Wine Co
Mainly destemmed with a small amount of whole bunches. Matured, mainly, in seasoned hogsheads and puncheons. A very light crimson. Fruit-forward aromas of gently poached red fruits, spices and light floral notes. The palate is similarly easygoing, with soft tannins rounding out an early-drinking, good-value Yarra pinot. 91 points – Halliday Wine Companion
