Stunning aromatics of predominantly red fruits. Cranberry, redcurrant, cherry and strawberry, blackberry, cassis, wood spice and autumn leaves. Tight and structured with prominent spice. Very deep and luxurious, beautifully silken, so it was a welcome surprise to find a ferrous-ness creeping from the glass. Dramatic! Tight and minerally, but silky too. Pure and translucent fruits woven with gamey and earthy notes. Offers so much interest for the drinker. Beautiful contradictions. Waters Wine Co

Deepish ruby colour with subtle tints of black as well as purple. The bouquet is reserved and mysterious, with subtle meaty-charcuterie notes as well as suggestions of darker berry fruits and spices. Some ‘forest floor’ and humus traces emerged with time in the glass. The wine has serious depth and body: it’s rich and concentrated, fruit-sweet at the core with Campari and balsamic herb touches, while the tannins are fleshy and supple as well as abundant.
