The 2022 Landaviddy Lane Pinot Noir leads with a sweetly fruited red strawberry nose, with sandalwood, freshly grated nutmeg, violets, kicked dirt, pomegranate, red apple skins, a hint of clove and star anise, dried herbs and a whiff of tapenade. The palate follows exactly. This is a wonderful wine. it’s consistent in texture, persistent in flavor and beautifully balanced. The tannins have a pliable softness to them; they’re dry and powdery yet firm and chalky. It’s so exciting to taste this. It comes highly recommended. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under Diam and wax. – 96 Points – Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Medium-full red with a purple tint, the bouquet is complex, meaty, smoky/charcuterie, with hints of balsamic herbs in balance, raising the question of some whole-bunch but if so, it’s subtly handled. A trace of chocolate, too. The palate delivers fruit sweetness and succulence, ripe and neatly balanced by fine, gentle and supple tannins. This is a pinot noir that is loaded with charm and deliciousness. – 96 Points – Huon Hooke, The Real Review
