Lamarche owns a solid half-hectare in Les Chaumes, a superb vineyard that is located right under Aux Malconsorts and La Tâche. The vines here are now between 30 and 40 years old. At this address Chaumes produces extremely fine-boned, perfumed and sensual Vosne. As per the other 2019s, this was fermented with 30% whole bunches.
Very pretty mid red of no great depth, doesn’t need to be. The nose shows a little elegant red fruit, but is not really au rendez-vous. Then there is an impressive depth of fruit, right from the start of the palate, a few orange zest notes in with raspberry and strawberry, very long, sensual finish. Another Chaumes success for Nicole Lamarche. 91-94 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

Lamarche’s 1.35 hectares of vineyards in the Clos de Vougeot are situated over three terroirs: one is at the top of the Clos near the Château (actually there are two small parcels in the area known as Montiotes Hautes); another is in the middle tranche on the Vosne side (Petits Maupertuis); and the remaining parcel is […]
Add to cart Producer: Francois LamarcheFresh and floral nose with tiles, vibrant red berries and pomegranate. Stony, mineral verve. Pure and expressive with good tension on the medium-bodied palate. Silky, very nimble and elegant. Acidic red berries in the finish that cleanse the palate. So much drinkability. Drink or hold. From biodynamically grown grapes. 96 points – James Suckling.com […]
Add to cartThe 2019 Volnay 1er Cru Les Santenots was the last wine in the cellar to finish its malolactic fermentation, and its bouquet of smoky blackberries and cherries was still comparatively unformed. Medium to full-bodied, layered and lively, its bright acids and powdery tannins mark it out as a particular success this year. 91-93+ Points – William Kelley, […]
Add to cartThe 2019 Bourgogne Rouge delivers inviting aromas of cassis, sweet berries, spices and orange rind, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that’s lively and sapid. After the rich, gourmand 2018, the 2019 is a touch more nuanced and dynamic, but this is always a dependable cuvée. 88 Points – William Kelley, […]
