Scents of red berries and cherries with an abundance of juvenile, spicy fruit. This 2017 Spatburgunder from Jean Stodden has subtle tannins, good structure and an excellent finish.
The hand-picked grapes are fermented without stalks for 14 days under temperature control. The malolactic fermentation takes place, like the ageing, in old 1000-litre oak barrels. A Pinot Noir cuvée with a lot of density and substance from Jean Stodden’s vineyards in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Dernau and Rech.
