David Moreau Santenay Cuvée S 2022

The 2022 Santenay Cuvée S, named after Moreau‘s grandmother Simone, comes from colluvial soils that tend to suffer millerandage. It has a refined and elegant bouquet with red cherries and crushed strawberry scents – fine mineralité here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, an “airy” Santenay with impressive purity and grace. Feels very sustained on the finish. I feel it will gain more intensity by the time of bottling. 90-92 points – Neal Martin, Vinous.com October 23
