The Luciano Sandrone 2018 Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore shows a very fruity, fresh and accessible side of the Nebbiolo grape. This wine is open-knit and inviting with a steady succession of aromas that range from red cherry and plum to rosemary sprig and crushed mineral. On some level, you could call it Barolo Lite, although that does not do justice to the Valmaggiore vineyard in Roero that outperforms year after year. The wine is Barolo-adjacent for sure, but it offers its own bright and distinct personality. It’s an exciting, new generation of Nebbiolo. 94 Points – Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate

Producer: Luciano SandroneTasted alongside the 2018, it’s striking to taste the sites DNA, despite the different seasons and subtly different approach to winemaking. A coolish vintage, wet and humid, so extremely difficult for wine growers, but excellent conditions for Nebbiolo. Very classically styled and reminiscent of Barolo/Barbaresco 20 years ago; translucent and with a russet tinge. Lovely, […]

It has been featured by The WineFront and Halliday magazine as one of Australia’s leading rosé wines. The 2023 is no exception to its predecessors, made with intention as a serious and refreshing style.

Bright and sizzling with tannin, the 2019 is going to need at least a few years to fully come together. Crushed rocks, red/purplish fruit and dried flowers emerge with some coaxing, but this is really […]
Add to cartThis is arguably the greatest rosé wine of Champagne. Why is it so good? Well, the first reason is that the fruit comes from 100% Grand Cru estate vines grown by one of the most meticulous vignerons in the region. Then there is the five percent of Egly’s 2015 Coteaux Champenois Rouge—the finest red wine […]
