Very much an Australian, wearing the sun on some pretty broad shoulders. Blackberry, kirsch, cut flowers, and notes of earth lead on to a fullish palate where there’s a concentration of aniseed, bay leaf and a compote of black fruits. Terrific width, but what we really love are the tannins. Savoury, firm and a texture of coarse coffee grounds that is nothing short of gripping. Great stuff, and the best Fletcher Minion to date.
