“Sourced from two vineyards in Blewitt Springs planted in 1939, and 1956. Both vineyards are bush vines on deep sandy soil over ironstone, which produces fruit with concentration, perfume and structure. The vineyard at higher elevation has smaller berries resulting in tightly wound gritty tannins, while the lower vineyard provides a beautiful mid-palate and aromatics. Hand-harvested, 20% whole bunches, 14 day maceration, 10 months in large format French oak. Selected barrels were blended together prior to bottling, this is a wine that speaks of elegance, texture and beauty.” – Saltfleet
