JC’s Own Ferine Grenache 2020

100% Grenache from vineyards in the Angaston Foothills of the Barossa Valley and Barmera in the Riverland. The fruit for the 2020 Ferine Grenache is handpicked and carbonically fermented. After 8 weeks the wine was trod by foot to break up the bunches and gain greater structure. Matured in 500 Litre French oak puncheons, none new. Massive nose of strawberries, cherries, plums and cassis. There’s real richness but it’s so light on its feet with plenty of crunchy acid and slippery tannins. Bottled without fining or filtration.
