100% Grenache from two old vineyards in the Angaston Foothills of the Barossa Valley. The fruit for the 2018 Ferine Grenache is handpicked and 100% whole-bunch wild fermented. After 8 weeks the wine was trod by foot to break up the bunches and gain greater structure. Matured in 500 Litre French oak puncheons, none new. Massive nose of strawberries, cherries, plums and cassis. There’s real richness but it’s so light on its feet with plenty of crunchy acid and slippery tannins. Bottled without fining or filtration. Only 1950 bottles produced.
