The 2017 El Rey Del Glam combines the weight and power of Ribera del Duero and the incisive crunch of high grown Garnacha. Bright, juicy and packed with sarsaparilla, red jube and brown spice notes. There’s loads of sweet fruit and a vibrant clean finish. The grapes are drawn from two plots. Half coming from the Peñafiel high country of Ribera del Duero. While the rest comes from Alfredo’s plots in the Navarredondilla, part of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, 200km west of Madrid . As with El Marciano, there’s no oak, wild yeast fermentation and no fining or filtration. Although the wine is designed to drink upon release and is lighter than the El Marciano, there’s still plenty of power here. Cellar temperature or from the fridge.
