Deep and earthy, but also with great cherry and violet aromas that pull you into orbit around this elegant beauty. Long, racy and mineral finish with just a hint of funk (from reduction). Excellent aging potential. Drink or hold. 93 Points – James Suckling
Corcelette’s soils are of sandy pink granite. Facing south-east with a high elevation of 470 metres, the wines are some of the prettiest in Beaujolais. Beautiful aromatics. Raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and plum. The palate is ever so bright. Once again red fruits, with a medium weighted palate that’s so vibrant it’s refreshing. I find the tannins powdery and ever present, caressing the fruit from the get go. Not dominating mind, just there. Persistent. The structure is apparent at the front of the palate and runs the length of the wine. Waters Wine Co

‘Cordon Cut’ refers to the unusual practice of cutting the canes allowing the grapes to ‘raisin’ naturally on the vine, concentrating flavour and sugar levels. 2020 is another outstanding vintage for Mount Horrocks. The wine is a bright, pale white gold colour with concentrated lemon-lime and vanilla spice. The juicy fruit washes over a vibrant […]
Add to cart Producer: Mount HorrocksThis is arguably the greatest rosé wine of Champagne. Why is it so good? Well, the first reason is that the fruit comes from 100% Grand Cru estate vines grown by one of the most meticulous vignerons in the region. Then there is the five percent of Egly’s 2015 Coteaux Champenois Rouge—the finest red wine […]
Add to cart Producer: Egly-OurietWild, sensual and exotic. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, blood plum, lavender and marzipan. Tangy red fruits dominate the palate, but it’s rhubarb that coats it, gifting the wine length and layered texture. Mineral as always, the plum skin and rhubarb texture giving way to velvet. Playful, absorbing. Waters Wine Co Click here for our full […]
Add to cart Producer: Daniel BoulandA thrilling introduction, with a compote of red and black fruits, clove and potpourri. Bright and tangy, very soft, almost edgy tannins. Discreet, angular and mineral. Packed with flavour but weightless in the mouth. Invigorating. Waters Wine Co “Opening in the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, spices and smoke, the 2021 Côte de Brouilly […]
