The 2023 Morgon Côte du Py comes from several parcels of granite and schistous soils with many centurion vines. This has a wonderful, very complex bouquet with exquisite delineation: crushed stone filters through dark berry fruit alongside hints of ash and light stony scents. The sapid and vivacious palate has filigree tannins, a silver thread of acidity, and a touch of cracked black pepper towards the long finish. This is one of the best Morgon’s you can buy…but that’s old news. 94/100 – Neal Martin on March 2025 (vinous.com)

Some super-ripe Shiraz was picked from Wild Duck Creek’s Original Vineyard and made into wine, which didn’t quite fill a barrel. The barrel was then topped up with Alan’s Cabernet Pressings, being […]

Deep, dark, and vibrant in the glass. The nose is intense — dark spice, a punch of salinity, savoury herbs and graphite. Beneath the assertive opening sits a perfumed musk and confectionary lift that hints at carbonic maceration. A second pass reveals brown spice — mace and clove — alongside ripe Christmas cherries. The palate […]
