Ripe cherry, spice, stony and slightly earth, but has perfume too. It’s medium-bodied, deep in flavour and neatly packed with graphite tannin – the feel of it is rumbling and distinctly ‘mineral’ – finishes with aromatic herbs and sweet cherry and raspberry flavour, and again that tannin going about its business so convincingly. Terrific wine. Should age a treat, too. 94+ points – Gary Walsh, The Winefront
