Cuvee Melanie is named after Daniel Bouland’s daughter. It’s made from 70 year old vines and the vineyard is a tiny, steep half hectare, close planted with 6000 vines. The soils are blue tinted volcanic soils, unique to Brouilly. The Cote de Brouilly Cuvee Melanie was Bouland’s first parcel to be picked in 2018. To further preserve freshness, the wine was raised in tank only. Packed with primary fruit thanks to the élevage. Oodles of racy, black cherry and anise-noted fruit and a super intense, tangy, powdery close.
