Corymbia Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Blackcurrant, blackberry, kirsch, aniseed, campfire, lavender, sage, soy and seaweed. Like the Tempranillo/Malbec, the savoury, spicy and textural elements, jostle with the fruit. The wine is both loose and tight, fine, firm and threaded. Perfect for the decanter! Gritty espresso texture, or more like Turkish coffee, thick with grain. Rolling waves of flavour and grip, wrestle a stiffened sinew of tannin, that never lets go. The interplay of elements is remarkable, and for all the drama, it’s balanced and integrated. Absolutely ridiculous value for money. Waters Wine Co

We love wines with spine and structure that comes from the grape and not from an oak tree grown on the other side of the world. No fancy winemaking or oak influence, just a relentless pursuit of perfection in the vineyard. This wine tastes of the grape, the dirt and the season without pretention, which is exactly what we want. Pomegranate, wild blackberries, violets and salted licorice characters are complemented by a palate of great energy and drive. It’s all framed by the vineyard’s typical graphite-like structure. Very satisfying. – Rob & Gen Mann
