Cabernet from Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley. They take both shiraz and cabernet and this cabernet at least from 2018 is the better of them. Life at times is counter-intuitive. That said, it’s a shiraz-like cabernet. It tastes of sweet plum, blackcurrant, violet and smoked cedarwood and it’s delicious to its back teeth. A modest serve of dusty tannin is the clincher. 93 points – Campbell Mattinson, The Winefront
De-stemmed and hand plunged. Fermented with indigenous yeast. 16 days on skins before basket pressing. 16 months in French oak barriques (25% new).Only588 bottles produced.
