First made in 2008, this stunning wine comes from a 0.2-hectare parcel of ungrafted Cabernet Franc planted in a sandy parcel of land close to the river. Planting density is 10,000 vines per hectare and the vines are pruned in the échalas, or single-stake system. The 5-metre deep sandy soil is worked by horse and the wine is raised for 12 months in 12/hl casks that have been used several times. 100% whole bunch Cabernet Franc. Biodynamic. Sweet, forest fruit meets sappy whole bunch perfume and a vivacious, vibrant palate with notes of dried flowers and small red fruits. This compelling wine has the depth of a grand cru Burgundy.
