Approximately 75% of the Cabernet Franc grapes for this wine derive from the chalky soils of Les Arboises, on the famous, limestone rich Brézé hill. The rest comes from the mature Les Motelles vineyard, on chalky sand and gravel over clay. Naturally fermented and aged in concrete for six months. 100% destemmed fruit. This is a wonderful wine made in tiny quantities. It’s beautifully bright and lifted, with plump cherry fruit sweetness anchored by fruity, crunchy acidity and a crushed herb complexity.
