As close to perfection as you could possibly hope for. Refined, bracing Auslsen, obviously sweet, but it’s the acidity and the ‘coolness’ that’s astonishing. Elements of green snake (the lolly!), spearmint, white peach, lime, cumquat and lychee, cut through by passionfruit. Most Goldcaps are more obviously sweet and silken in texture, but the chisel here is unique. Wonderful expression from one of Germany’s grandest estates and in comparison with its peers, an absolute bargain. Waters Wine Co

Raspberry, strawberry and cranberry with hints of porcini mushroom and cured meat. There are also wonderful hints of oak spice […]
Add to cart Producer: Tyrrell'sThe wine is poured from across the room, our kitchen to be exact, with the kids running around, the detritus of a busy family home everywhere. Pale straw green; it leaps from the glass with brilliant purity of white lily fragrance, Granny Smith apple, lime and lemon. Not a molecule out of […]
Add to cart Producer: Pressing Matters“The 2021er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese offers a superbly complex and pure fresh nose of candied grapefruit, vineyard peach, verbena, almond cream, smoke, and a hint of cassis. The wine proves superbly honeyed and creamy on the palate, where riper elements of pineapple, honeyed peach, and apricot are wrapped in candied citrusy fruits. The wine […]
