The fruit is allowed to become very ripe on the vine before harvest. It is picked and crushed, then macerated for up to three days. The must is pressed and the juice is fortified with spirit to 18%. The resulting wine is then aged in barrel from 8 to 80 years, depending on the product classification it is destined for. Butterscotch, raisin and treacle fill the mouth with this extremely food friendly Muscat. Matches well with all sorts of desserts either chilled or at room temperature. This intensely aromatic bouquet of rose petals and candied peel is at its best when consumed within a year of opening.
