Mullineux Straw Wine 2021 (375ml)

Gosh! this is a tough one to describe as we have not really tasted anything quite like this. Expressive bouquet of lime marmalade, lavender honey, apricot, yellow peach, fig and cherry. Luscious and intense with thrusting acidity and slightly textured. There is a reductive nutty element that balance’s the sweetness of the wine, but there’s no shying away from the sheer presence, uniqueness and complexity of Mullineux’s straw wine. Waters Wine Co

Mullineux’s superb Straw wine is deep golden straw in colour, with a rich, viscous appearance. The nose and palate is a complex, enticing blend of dried peaches, apricots and marmalade, with savoury, nutty aromas of almonds, marzipan and honey. The intense mouth-feel is balanced by a clean, fresh and very long finish of dried apricots. The wine is best served chilled at 9 to 11 °C. Importers Notes
